US Cellular launched an unlimited 4G LTE data plan just in time for the holidays, allowing its customers living in the 4G LTE coverage areas to get unlimited data for just $40 per month. That money, however, doesn’t include tethering and you’ll rather have to add $20 more to be able to connect your computer or tablet to your smartphone (and use its mobile Internet connection).

The carrier recently expanded its 4G LTE service in Iowa, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, and rolled out 4G LTE service to some of its leading markets in Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Hampshire, Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, Washington and West Virginia. The goal is to cover 58% of US Cellular’s customers by the end of the year.

But that’s not all with US Cellular also offering $100 instant rebates on some its smartphones, including the Galaxy S III for $199 and the Huawei Ascend Y for just a penny. Moreover, everyone who purchases a smartphone or tablet can get the 4G LTE Samsung SCH-LC11 hotspot for free.
