Awesome accessories is one of the reasons I quoted why I would get the iPad mini over Nexus 7. One such product has been recently unveiled – Belkin Portable Keyboard Case for iPad mini, which effectively turns Apple’s tablet into a super-portable laptop. Sure enough, there are similar accessories for the Nexus 7, but none of them look as sexy as this one. I still don’t get major accessory makers why they don’t go for the Nexus line of devices, and can only hope an article like this one will help move them in that direction.

Anyway, this portable keyboard folio is obviously designed to provide a better typing experience in a smaller package, featuring well-spaced keys for its size. It connects to the iPad mini via Bluetooth and even has some iPad specific shortcut keys for controlling of audio and video. Price wise, Belkin asks $79.99 for its accessory; that may sound a lot but then again – you still don’t have much choice here. Check it out and let us know whether you like it as much as we do.

What is the weight of the whole case+keyboard , and if the keyboard is detachable, what is the weight of the keyboard?

It is amazing how these products are supposed to be PORTABLE, and yet, very few people are interested in knowing their WEIGHTS.
