Earlier this month, Samsung said that sales of its hot-new Galaxy Note II have surpassed 3 million units. Now that number has jumped to 5 million, making for a that much sweeter milestone. In comparison, it took the original Galaxy note five months to hit the same figure whereas the new model did the same in just two months.

Again, the Galaxy Note II is a powerful phablet — a device that’s too big for a phone and too small for a tablet — with specs that include a 5.5-inch 720p HD screen, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8MP camera and so on.
