Two weeks ago we’ve mentioned that US Cellular will soon get a new Samsung Galaxy device – Axiom. And now it’s available from their website with carrier and Samsung failing to launch a single press release to announce it. The reason may be found in the fact that the Galaxy Axiom is a rather unimpressive device, at least compared to other phones in Sammy’s portfolio. It looks like the Galaxy S III mini and specs are pretty similar, as well. There’s dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz under the hood, 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing one and 4G LTE connectivity support (alongside 3G and Wi-Fi). All this could be yours for just $79 with a two-year contract or for $399 sans any strings attached. The way I see it, the off-contract price is just too high since that money can you get you a much better phone, including the hot-new Nexus 4.

Anyway, if Galaxy Axiom is something you like, you can reserve your unit from this page at US Cellular’s website. Otherwise, well, just keep waiting for something else. It’s your call. ;)
