WebOS resurrected as an Android app

Not everyone liked HP’s idea to effectively abandon webOS. Developer community embraced the company’s decision to open source the OS and group of enthusiast behind the Phoenix project is now doing something to resurrect one of the fanciest mobile platforms ever. For a start, they launched a mobile application that brings the whole OS along with few apps to Android. As you’re about to see from a video below, webOS doesn’t run that smoothly (to say the least) on Nexus S, but you should bear in mind this is still an early pre-alpha build and that many things will be changed and tweaked along the way. I’m not sure what’s the point of having another platform running on Android, but I guess this is some sort of demo, with real-life uses following at a later date (and on some other device).
