Microsoft is working on an update for its Windows Phone 8 that will be unveiled in early 2013. Codenamed Apollo Plus, the updated software will bring several new features that weren’t fully in scope for the Windows Phone 8 initial release, along with some smaller enhancements. Here’s what we expect:
- VPN support – which was available in earlier Windows Mobile versions, and for some reason is still not included in Windows Phone. This is very important as it enable connecting to work systems.
- Wi-Fi connection fix – to allow connections to always remain on.
- Audio improvements
- Notification Center – so that push-based updates make more sense.
According to TheVerge, Microsoft will unveil the new update from the floor of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We’ll be there to bring you the latest news…
