Verizon Wireless announced that it will start rolling out Jelly Bean updates for 3 of its Motorola smartphones, including the DROID RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX HD and RAZR M. Again, this is one of those staged rollouts so you may not get your fix right on Monday. Still, there’s no reason for worry – you’ll get it in the next few days, anyway. However, if you own the RAZR M, you must manually check for updates as Verizon will start pushing notifications from November 9th.

As you probably know, Jelly Bean brings a number of enhancements and new features to the platform like Google Now, enhanced notification panel, smart keyboard with improved accuracy and next word suggestions. Additionally, there are some Moto-specific updates that include bug fixes, improved voice and data connectivity, Back Up Assistant, while Verizon Video and Color application has been removed. Plus, let’s not forget the suite of Amazon apps which you get after the update…

UPDATE: I was wrong – Droid RAZR M already got its update on November 9th.

Kudos to Motorola. Guess going to bed with Google helps. ;)

Razr M already had Jelly Bean pushed to it a couple weeks ago.

Hopefully this will mean imminent updates for the original Razr twins and Droid 4 as well.
