Back in August, we’ve told you about Archos’ game-centric Android device called GamePad. If you recall, it’s a 7-inch tablet with dedicated gaming keys on each side of the screen. Now it’s available from Archos and the initial batch has already been sold out. However, you can secure your unit for 129 GBP (around $207) and get it delivered to your doorsteps by around December 18th.
Aside from the mentioned 7-inch display, the GamePad also packs a dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth, while Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is running the show out of box. That’s all nice but I have a minor problem with that CPU – I would prefer it to be NVidia Tegra 2 (or even better Tegra 3) as that would give GamePad owners access to an expanded list of games from the Tegra Zone. Guess I demand too much from such a low-priced gadget, what do you think?
