Not surprisingly, Google Maps now tops the chart for free apps in the iOS App Store. The Apple Map alternative debuted in the App Store Wednesday night and offers turn-by-turn navigation, street view and more.
After Apple dropped Google and offered its own mapping solution, customers have been clamoring for the return of Google Maps to their iOS device. Apple’s Map solution has been widely criticized for its poor navigation and inaccurate placement of notable landmarks.
