We’ve been telling you about ZTE’s forthcoming 5-inch 1080p smartphone for quite some time now. We’re glad to share the date when the new device will be officially announced – that will happen on January 8th from the floor of CES in Las Vegas.

The information comes from the official CES Event Schedule and we tend to believe it’s true (who wouldn’t). From the same page, we also learn that the phone will be called ZTE Grand S and that it will be the slimmest such device out there, made out of ceramics and featuring “traditional Chinese style” that makes it “perfect for the fashionable set.”

Again, as we’ve heard before, the Grand S will most likely rock a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 3G/4G and Wi-Fi connectivity, solid camera on the back (with at least 8-megapixel sensor), 16+ GB of built-in storage and so on and on. We’ll let you know when we hear something new…
