It always sucks to get left behind on updates, so Xperia Tipo, U, Miro, and Sola users, brace yourselves. Sony Mobile recently posted on it’s blog what devices would and wouldn’t be receiving the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade, and the devices above just didn’t make the cut.
Most of the devices not getting the Jelly Bean update are lower to mid-range models, but it’s still not an easy pill to swallow if you’re an owner of one of these phones.
It’s not all bad news in Xperia-land, though.
- The Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V are set to get the Jelly Bean update sometime between February and March.
- The Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia go are all set to receive some Jelly Bean love by the end of March
- The Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S will be receiving the update in the following weeks after the Xperia P, J, and go.
We know at sucks, but at least the devices aren’t stuck on Gingerbread. Am I right?
