T-Mobile and Samsung will launch an update for the Galaxy Note II later today (December 19th). The Magenta carrier says that the new software will be available both over-the-air and via Samsung Kies software, bringing few new features to the phablet while also fixing some of the known bugs.
The most important new capability users will get is Multi Window, which allows running of two apps at the same time (and on the same window). In addition, Exchange calendar events will now properly appear on device Calendar, and you will be able to swipe through Gmail messages — the two were among the most annoying issues users had with the software thus far.
So if your Note II doesn’t prompt you to update, make sure to manually check for new software version. Hop over to Settings -> About -> and check for update from there.
