Nokia is apparently working on a 10-inch Windows RT tablet and will most likely announce it at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. According to Taiwan-based supply chain makers, the company is said to be working together with Microsoft, Qualcomm and Compal Electronics.
Nokia’s original plan was to unveil such a product in the first quarter of 2012 but decided to postpone the launch after Microsoft announced its Surface tablet. Now they’re waiting for the market to take off and only then announce its offering.
Windows RT tablet sales have so far been short of expectations, though we’re sure that will change once more developers join the platform and release some solid apps…
We’ll keep our eye on Nokia’s plans and let you know as soon as we hear something new. Stay tuned.
