Archos has been pretty active in the tablet space lately, having released few devices like the 13.3-inch Arnova Family Pad and 7-inch Game Pad. Their latest gig is called 97 Titanium HD and what makes it interesting is the fact that it comes with an iPad-like 9.7-inch screen which supports retina display resolution of 2048×1536 pixels. Of course, instead of running iOS, it relies on Android, version 4.1 Jelly Bean to be more precise. In addition, this tablet also comes with a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus on the back, 2-megapixel front-facing one, dual-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz, quad-core GPU (Mali 400 MP4), 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage and a microSD expansion slot. Size wise, the Archos 97 Titanium HD measures 240x184x9 mm and has a weight of 640 grams.

The French company failed to share when the 97 Titanium HD will be released and how much it will cost once it hits the store shelves. We’ll have to wait for few more days and/or weeks to get that information…
