Some 10 days ago we’ve told you about the still unannounced Acer V360 and now we caught another smartphone made by the Taiwanese company – V350. What’s confusing, however, is that this is a better device, despite having a lower model number.

The information comes from GLBenchmark, which is known as the place where many upcoming devices are often discovered. The V360 listing tells us few things about the phone – it will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 dual-core chip clocked at 1.5GHz, 720p (1280×720 pixels) screen, while Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean will run the show.

It’s unclear when Acer will officially announce this phone but with both CES and Mobile World Congress coming, we think they’ll use one of the two events to do so. We’ll let you know when we hear something new on this. Stay tuned…

I don’t know if these numbers are actual model numbers or just code names used at this point to keep the secret, secret. It would be strange to have model numbers out of sequence like that when customers expect higher numbers have more features and capabilities. I’m happy with my Note II that has all of the bells and whistles, but as my DISH coworker points out, I don’t really need them. I know that even though I watch a lot of TV with my phone and DISH Remote Access app that I can get along with a much less powerful phone, but I like the large screen. The Sling Adapter I have at home sends the TV through the internet and I pick it up on my Note II or iPad at work or on the go, which helps me watch more TV than I used to watch.
