Among other things we’ll see from Samsung at this year’s CES is the DA-F60, a new NFC-enabled speaker that connects to your phone and/or tablet via Bluetooth. The presence of NFC makes pairing much easier as all you have to do is tap your mobile device and it will be instantly connect to the speaker, making for a much better experience.
In addition, the DA-F60 also comes with support for apt-X codec, which is a relatively new audio codec that improves the dynamic range and quality of streaming Bluetooth audio. At the moment, it’s only available on few devices, including Sammy’s own Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II, as well as HTC One V, One S and One V; and Motorola RAZR, RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX and RAZR M. We’re not sure how much Samsung will ask for its new speaker but the chances are we’ll have all details in the next few days…
