LG Optimus G has started receiving a small update in South Korea. Folks in LG’s own backyard are apparently receiving Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean firmware upgrade as we speak. In fact, users on all three major networks in the country — including SK Telecom (model number LG-F180S), KT (LG-F180K) and LG U+ (LG-F180L) — are all blessed with the same deal.

That said, we expect LG to follow suit and launch something similar for other Optimus G versions sold elsewhere.

While it’s not powerful as it was at the launch day, LG’s baby is still a rock-solid device, boasting a 4.7-inch HD IPS+ screen, Qualcomm’s 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera (AT&T’s version has an 8-megapixel camera) and a ton of built-in storage.
