Samsung has turned to Flickr to share the major milestone with the world – its Galaxy S series device sales have surpassed 100 million units. This major figure was reached in 2 years and 7 months since the original Galaxy S was launched in May 2010.

The first successor, Galaxy S II, has crossed the 40 million mark in 20 months and the current model Galaxy S III is selling like crazy, with average daily sales of 190,000 units. In fact, the Korean company managed to move 30 million Galaxy S III devices in just 5 months, and 40 million in 7 months.

The new Galaxy S IV will be unveiled later in the year and we’re sure Samsung knows it’s gotta be something special to make it compete with products from the likes of HTC, Sony, Huawei, ZTE and others. We can’t wait to see it…
