Customers looking to buy a mobile phone at Target retail stores will have one less purchasing option starting this spring. According to a Wall Street Journal report, RadioShack will remove its mobile phone kiosks from 1,500 Target stores. This shutdown will begin in April.

RadioShack signed a deal with Target in 2010 to setup and staff these kiosks, which sold mobile phones and tablets. The electronics retailer hoped to cash in on the smartphone and tablets boom, but the endeavor fell flat on its face. RadioShack reportedly lost an estimated $76 million since the kiosks were operational.
