Rhapsody music service on MetroPCS now just $5

Cricket has its Muve Music offering and MetroPCS wants to have something comparable. To that end, the carrier has teamed up with Rhapsody to allow its users to add the popular music service to their existing plans.

Available now, MetroPCS customers can add Rhapsody for $5 to its newly simplified $40, $50 and $60 monthly smartphone plans. The carrier touts the offering as the “best mobile music deal anywhere.”

The service is tailored to MetroPCS subscribers by offering customized programming and editorial content that is updated regularly.

Rhapsody has seen significant growth in mobile, with 56% of all listening coming from mobile phones, up from 27% in 2011. MetroPCS users are among the most active in Rhapsody’s subscriber base…

    This is something all carriers should adopt. Add few dollars/euros per month to get all the music you want. Cool.
