LG’s Optimus G handset is definitely the best flagship device we’ve ever seen from the company, but it’s been limited to just a handful of countries. Well, that’s about to change, as LG is beginning the global roll-out of the Optimus this month to over 50 countries.
While the company may currently trying to boost the inventory of the Nexus 4, it doesn’t seem that it’s slowed the production of the Optimus G. The device ships with high-end specifications and some great software features like Q Memo and Q Slide. As a refresher, the sexy handset ships with a 4.7 inch True HD IPS+ display with a resolution of 1280 x 768, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU, 2GB RAM, LTE support, and 13 megapixel rear camera. The Optimus G, along with the Nexus 4 both share LG’s patented Crystal Reflection process on the back glass panel of the device that adds a subtle, but rather beautiful flare when in certain light.
To make it even sweeter, LG has begun the roll out of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to Optimus G units in South Korea, and we’ll soon see the update hit other units in the near future.
The global roll-out of the Optimus G will offer more countries a sexy and powerful LTE device that is still one of our favorites today. If you haven’t got a chance to read it yet, check out our full review of the Optimus G right here!
