Huawei is seriously trying to make other handset makers suffer. Their latest phone, Ascend G615, has been announced in Germany, offering a 4.5-inch 720p HD screen and 1.4GHz quad-core CPU for 300 EUR. That’s an awesome deal for such a powerful device!

In addition, it also comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing one, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in storage, microSD card slot, GPS, Wi-Fi, HSPA and so on.

On the downside, it will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with the Jelly Bean update coming in March. That’s a month or so after it debuts in early February.

No carrier partners have been announced thus far but we do know retailers that will offer the Ascend G615 – the initial list includes Amazon, Conrad, and Cyberport, with others also getting it at some point in March. Hopefully, a subsidized version with a carrier contract will also be available at that time. We’ll see…
