Galaxy S4 rumors are abundant these days, and some newly released details are making Samsung enthusiasts ecstatic. A new picture has been released, giving us an idea what the new phone may look like. Reports indicate that the handset could be announced in March at an “Unpacking” event followed by an April launch. Samsung is planning to ship the “Altius” in week 16 of 2013, which translates into April 15, 2013. Sources are still unsure of where this event will take place, but hypothesis include the New York, London, and Korea.
Samsung’s new flagship phone still has no official name, but is being referred to as the Galaxy S4, and we don’t see why Samsung would decide to change the naming scheme of the flagship device. Outside of launch, the handset is going under the moniker “Altius”, with the model number of GT-I9500. It is rumored that Samsung will release a white and black version. The new handset has also been rumored to be touting a 4.99 FHD Super AMOLED display, Exynos 5 Octa processor, Mali-T658 GPU, 2GB RAM, 13MP camera, and Android 4.2.1.
As far as design goes, the Galaxy S4’s design looks pretty similar to the Galaxy S3, and Samsung has kept the physical Home button, not too eager to make the transition to just software buttons. The body design is expected to be a little more flat than the Galaxy S3. Wireless charging has also been rumored to be built into the handset. Samsung is expected to release a separate dock/charging kit shortly after releasing the device.
Remember, until this device is officially announced, we can only speculate as to the design and specs of the device. Keep your eyes peeled..in April, Samsung will reveal all, or so it seems. Check out the newly released photo below.
