ASUS released a small update for the Padfone 2, packing several improvements and bug fixes. Here’s what firmware version 10.4.9.6 brings:
- Improved Padfone 2 and Padfone 2 Station performance and stability
- Improved 3G/Wi-Fi connection and stability
- Improved Garmin navigation system performance
- Updated Camera app with included optimizations for the camera’s HDR and Automatic White Balance functions
- Launcher stability improvements
- Support of Need for Speed games (didn’t know that was the problem before)
- Improved call volume and volume settings
- Optimized email fonts
- Contacts app performance improvements
- Improved power management system
Yup, you’ll want to update as soon as your Padfone 2 informs you about the update. It’s a good practice to have the latest version of the software running on your devices at all times. Just make sure your phone’s battery is (almost) full before proceeding to have enough juice to complete the process.
