Last week, invitations rolled out for HTC’s simultaneous press events in New York City and London on February 19th. With HTC already confirming that they will be making no major announcements at Mobile World Congress this year, and with rumors of the upcoming HTC M7 abounding, we can only assume that the HTC M7 will finally be unveiled at HTC’s event. We still have no details from HTC concerning availability and color options, but HTC Source is reporting that an anonymous source has provided some information pertaining to some of our unanswered questions.

The HTC M7 is rumored to go on sale on March 8th, but still no details on which carriers will be selling the device.  As we have seen with the recent unveiling of the BlackBerry 10 smartphones, HTC M7 availability will probably start in the UK and Europe first, followed by a U.S. release shortly thereafter. The March 8th launch date coincides perfectly with previous reports from industry sources claiming that HTC was trying it’s hardest to acquire enough components to manufacture 4-5 million units of the M7 in Q1 2013. HTC will probably start selling the M7 in Q1 to compete with other smartphones coming out, such as the bevy of devices Samsung has in store.

We’ve seen our share of pictures and some nice renders of the M7, but so far they have been very monotone. According to HTC Source’s source, the M7 will be available in a few different colors, namely black, silver and white. The renders we’ve seen so far do not suggest a two-toned color scheme, so we can only assume the M7 to be a solid color.

We are still not even sure what the M7 will be named at launch, but on February 19th, HTC will set all of the rumors straight. Until then, keep checking back for more updates!
