The BBC’s 5 live Breakfast interviewed Stephen Bates, BlackBerry’s UK Managing Director, on the day the company was prepared to launch its new BlackBerry 10 operating system.

The talk turned to Apple and the iPhone when the interviewer asked what BlackBerry has learned from the Cupertino company and its phones. Rather than address the question or simply say that he didn’t want to discuss that topic, Bates fumbles his way through those questions with more corporate speak that promotes BlackBerry.

In his defense, Bates was likely coached by the PR department to talk only about BlackBerry, but it sure does make him look ridiculous.
