According to French blog Test-Mobile, Google won’t be manning an Android booth this year at Mobile World Congress. The report comes from, Google’s team in France which said,

“I can confirm that indeed, Sonia, we will not stand at MWC this year. However, the Android team will be present in Barcelona to support its partners. “

In the past, Google has staged an elaborate presentation at MWC that showcased its lineup of Android devices. It’s booth was also filled with goodies like ice cream sandwiches, a smoothie bar and an actual slide for conference attendees. Instead of a similar booth in 2013, Google will be at the conference to support its hardware partners.
