Is this really the iPhone 5S being assembled in Foxconn?

Apple fans waking up this Monday morning were greeted with a barrage of  headlines promising a sneak peek at the upcoming iPhone 5S being assembled in a Foxconn plant. The series of photos were posted on a Chinese website and allegedly show the outer housing and the innards of the next generation iPhone.  Not surprisingly,  these crystal clear photos are not the iPhone 5S, but the spy shots of a crafty iPhone clone.

How do we know these photos are fakes? Just look at closely and unusual components like a cheap knockoff battery and an SD card slot should jump out at you. And if you can’t see them, take a look at the annotated image posted by Steve Hemmerstoffer of French blog Nowhereelse.fr
