Samsung will likely launch the Galaxy Note 8.0 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. We know it will be a premium tablet with a 7.9-inch screen that will compete with Apple’s iPad mini.

And while we still don’t have all details — we’ll get ‘em in the next two weeks — we know that the device will be available in 3 versions, one sporting only Wi-Fi connectivity, one with Wi-Fi and 3G, and one with 3G, 4G (LTE) and Wi-Fi.

The information, in case you wonder, comes from Bluetooth SIG which certified all three models, as you can attest from these three links.

When it comes to pricing, it is said that the Wi-Fi only Note 8.0 will start at 450 EUR, which sounds rather expensive considering that the iPad mini could be yours for as little as 339 EUR. Not sure what Samsung was smoking thinking…

Thanks for your Samsung phablet article. I wish Samsung would add a bluetooth detachable ear piece phone on their phablets. One that is ready to use upon detachment and is placed within the contour shape of the phablet body.
