AT&T's Galaxy Note II gets a small update to fix Exynos security issues

AT&T’s Samsung Galaxy Note II got a small update which we think will patch the infamous Exynos chipset exploit, discovered in December last year. The 8.45MB heavy download, described as “chipset security enhancement,” brings software version to I317UCAMA4, though the phablet keeps running Android version 4.1.2.

As far as we’ve understood, aside from fixing this security issue, the new firmware doesn’t bring anything else to the tablet. That said, we do advise you to “push the button” the minute your Galaxy Note II informs you about the new software waiting for download. It’s a good practice to have your devices up to date at all times…
