Netgear PTV3000 adapter gets a firmware update that makes it compatible with additional Android devices

NetGear’s PTV300 Miracast adapter recently got a new firmware update that makes it sing along more Android-based devices. Although support for Google’s mobile platform was introduced in version 2.2.7, the new firmware (version 2.2.9 – download from here) builds on top of that to include even more users. The list of supported smartphones and tablets now includes:

  • Samsung Galaxy S III (running Android 4.1.1 or above)
  • Samsung Galaxy Note II
  • Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
  • LG Optimus G (with Android 4.0.4 or above)
  • Google Nexus 4 (Android 4.2.1)
  • various Sony Xperia models with Android 4.0.4 or above

In addition, this software release also includes some other changes which are all listed at AndroidCentral
