Wow that was fast. The hot-new HTC One aka M7 has already been cloned in China and will most likely be available even before the original device starts selling.
The GooPhone One looks like HTC’s beast-phone though it lacks the hardware under the hood. However, if you live in China and don’t want to pay a premium for the “real deal,” perhaps this device will do the job for you. Not that we suggest anyone getting a fake phone or something.
Specs wise, the rip-off HTC One will come with dual-SIM or dual-mode (GSM+CDMA) connectivity support and a 4.7-inch touchscreen (which likely won’t be a full HD one). In addition, GizChina speculates it will also ship with 1GB of RAM, MediaTek’s MT6589 quad-core processor and even a 13-megapixel camera on the back. Those specs alone would make for great phone and I’m not sure why these guys didn’t make it an original device (rather than cloning existing product). But what do I know… We’re sure the GooPhone One won’t make it to the Western markets and we can’t sorry we’ll miss it. At all.
