HP, known for webOS and its failed mobile strategy, is jumping into the tablet market with a newly announced Android tablet. The Slate 7 will take on the Nexus 7 in the growing tablet marketplace. It’s main selling point will be its price — an ultra-low $169.

- 1.6Ghz Dual Core processor
- 1GB or RAM
- 8GB onboard storage with microSD expansion
- 3-megapixel camera on the back
- VGA camera on the front
- Beats Audio
- Google services like Google Now, Google Play and more
- HP ePrint application
- stock Android 4.1
HP will start selling the Slate 7 in the US sometime in April 2013
