Samsung and Apple both prepared high-profile commercials that aired last night during the Oscars. As noted by Apple 2.0, each company took a different approach in how they spent their advertising dollars.

Samsung used storytelling and a celebrities to chronicle the development of the Unicorn Apocalypse game in six ads that aired throughout the Oscars. This latest ad mentioned LeBron James (again) and starred director Tim Burton.

Apple, however, focused on the product and showcased the apps that Hollywood uses on its iPad. This theme of apps was recently introduced in two earlier ads, Alive and Together, that debuted last week.
