ASUS’s 10-inch tablet, the MeMo Pad Smart 10, has finally been given a release date, set to arrive in stores on  March 5th. The unit will be priced around $300, which makes the unit a viable choice for those in the market for an affordable, powerful 10 inch tablet.

The MeMo Pad Smart 10 will be outfitted with a Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, a screen with a resolution of 1280×800, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. It does, however have a microSD card slot, a micro HDMI port, and 5MP rear camera with auto-focus and an LED flash. The unit will be running on an ASUS customized version of Android Jelly Bean, and ASUS is claiming 7.5 hours of battery life. The unit will also come in three different colors, blue, pink or white.

Although the specs are not super impressive, the 10-inch tablet offers good performance with some features that other similarly priced tablets do not, and is a bit cheaper than most other 10-inch tablets out there. So if you’re looking for solid performance with little impact on your pocketbook, check out the ASUS MeMo Pad Smart 10.

We are still uncertain of where exactly you will be able to purchase the MeMo Pad Smart 10 on March 5th, but we will keep you updated as the device rolls out to retailers.
