Some 4 months ago, Archos unveiled its 13.3-inch FamilyPad tablet. Apparently, it wasn’t so great as it decided to launch the successor device so quickly. And voila, the FamilyPad 2 will soon hit the store shelves across Europe from where interested customers will be able to buy it for 300 EUR.
Specs wise, this device comes with the same 13.3-inch 1280×800 pixels screen, 1.6GHz dual-core processor with quad-core graphics, dual 2-megapixel cameras, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage (expandable with microSD cards). You also get a “quick stand” in the box, so you and your family can more easily enjoy movies.
As for the size, the FamilyPad 2 measures 337x230x11.6 mm and has a weight of 1.3 kg (making a case for that stand).
Not sure we like such big tablets, but then again, I’m sure some folks will love the idea. How about you? Would you want such big tablet?
