Asus is going to make owners of the Transformer Pad TF300 proud, as it’s now rolling out Android 4.2 Jelly Bean to the tablet. The update is available now in the United States by way of over-the-air (OTA), with other countries to follow later this month.

The Transformer Pad 300 will get the usual additions that come with the Android 4.2, including bug fixes, performance boost, and multiple user logins. On the feature side, folks can expect a new screensaver mode and the ability to add or disable lock screen widgets. Users also get improved photo editing and Photo Sphere camera feature that allows 360-degree panoramic photos of their surroundings.

We’re not surprised that the Taiwanese company is doing its best in staying caught up with Google’s update cycle, as it normally does a great job. However, there is no word yet to exactly when Asus’s other tablet devices: Fonepad and PadFone Infinity will receive the bump to Android 4.2. But all indications point to sometime in the second quarter. We assume the update for the Transformer Pad 300 is rolling out in stages, so be patient.
