LG unveiled its new F-series of smartphones at MWC this year, and it looks as though the Optimus F5 is headed to the U.S. on Verizon’s network. Given the model number VS870, the Verizon Optiumus F5 will be sold under the name Lucid 2, as a follow-up to Verizon’s LG Lucid phone released last year.

The Jelly-Bean powered Lucid 2 enters the market as a mid-range handset, featuring a 4.3-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon Krait CPU, 1.3MP front facing camera, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of memory plus a microSD card slot, 4G LTE, a 2,150mAh battery and a five-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capture. The F-series is focused on providing a reliable experience for those who aren’t looking to break the bank, and are looking for LTE connectivity.

The Lucid 2 should be released in the next month, so keep your eyes peeled.
