Aside from a pair of high-end devices, Xperia Z and Xperia ZL, Sony is also working on a couple of mid-range smartphones, including the recently leaked Xperia SP. But that apparently won’t be the only device in Sony’s offering for the masses with the company prepping for the Xperia L (codenamed TaoShan) launch as we speak.
Set to be announced later this year — we have no clue when that will happen exactly — this fella’ will come with a 4.3-inch 480×854 touchscreen, Qualcomm’s 1 GHz dual-core CPU with Adreno 305 GPU, 8-megapixel Exmor RS rear camera, 8GB of built-in memory, 1700mAh battery and a microSD memory card slot. It is said that Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean will run the show out of box with Sony’s own UI singing on top.
As for the size, the Xperia L will measure 128.7x65x9.7 mm, and it will be available in 3 different flavors (C2104, C2105, and S36h), each targeting a different market or carrier…
