Russians will be among the first people to be able to buy the hot-new Sony Xperia ZL. The device is now listed at Sony’s website with a price tag of 27,490 Rubles, the amount that translates into roughly $896 (or €688), which is kinda lot. Actually, it’s outrageous no matter how powerful this phone is. And it’s really awesome, rocking pretty much the same specs sheet as its waterproof brother, Xperia Z.

Sony said that the unlocked device will sell for 599 EUR in Europe, though it’s usually the case that most phones cost more in Russia than in other parts of the world. Moreover, we’re pretty confident the price will go down in the next few weeks or so.

As for the rest of the world, they will be able to buy the Xperia ZL starting from April.
