So you’ve been an iPhone user for some time now, but you just can’t stop thinking about switching over to one of Sony’s Xperia Android smartphones, especially the Xperia Z.  You’d love to give it a try, but you have a feeling that getting all of those contacts and pictures off of your iPhone will be a huge pain. Not so. Sony has released software called Xperia Transfer which makes the move from iOS to Android as easy as a few clicks. The software closely resembles that of HTC’s Sync, which has many of the same features and is geared towards its HTC One smartphone.

The Sony Xperia Transfer software will work with the following devices:

  • Xperia V (LT25)
  • Xperia VC
  • Xperia TX (LT29)
  • Xperia TL (LT30)
  • Xperia T (LT30)
  •  Xperia Z
  • Xperia ZL
  • Xperia ZQ

According to Sony, all users need to do is back up their iPhone data via iTunes, then connect your device to your computer and open the transfer wizard. The wizard will automatically transfer contacts, calendars, messages, music photos and the like. So if you’re looking to ditch your iPhone and come over to the Android side, Sony’s got you covered.

Check out the video below to see just how easy ditching your iPhone can be.
