Sony has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for its entry-level Xperia J (model number ST26i). The device will get a new firmware (version 11.2.A.0.21) along with an updated kernel (version 3.4).
As usual, this is one of those staged updates that won’t affect all users immediately. In other words, if your Xperia J still hasn’t informed you about the new software waiting to be downloaded – don’t worry, you’ll get your fix in the next few days or weeks. And again, make sure your contacts and other important information are safely stored on a local computer or in the cloud just in case something goes wrong. Those fancy notifications, Google Now and Project Butter enhancements are coming your way…
