Verizon’s LG Intuition getting a maintenance update soon

Verizon and LG are preparing to launch a maintenance update for the LG Intuition, which is known as Optimus Vu outside of the US. While this isn’t the full-blown Jelly Bean update, it does bring many useful changes, updating some of the apps while at the same time squashing the known bugs.

Among the things 5-inch phablet owners can expect from the 204.5 MB-heavy download are removal of the Color and V Cast apps, as well as improvements in the speakerphone quality. In addition, Verizon also included Amazon Appstore with the new firmware version (VS95011B), suggesting that it keeps working on its relationship with the online retail giant.

In other parts of the world, LG Optimus owners are expecting to get Jelly Bean upgrade soon, hinting us Verizon may also take this path. Alternatively, the Big Red carrier may decided to dump the phone altogether and replace it with something better. We like how that sounds, but at the same time – we want to see Verizon (and other carriers for that matter) taking care of its existing customers…
