The Xperia ZL, you know that other flagship device from Sony, has just got the so-much-needed FCC’s seal of approval making it ready to be sold on the US soil. All of the “right” bands are there, including LTE bands 2, 4, 5 and 17, along with HSPA over 1900, 1700 and 850MHz frequencies — which is a perfect match for AT&T’s network. That, however, doesn’t mean this bad boy will ever make it to the carrier — in fact, we’ve seen it popping up at Sony Mobile USA’s website and as far as we know, the Japanese giant may opt to sell the unlocked unit, instead. Not that it doesn’t need a boost from the carrier sales, but if I were at AT&T – I would go for the Xperia Z, which is the only water-resistant and dust-proof high-end smartphone sold in the West. In any case, we’ll let you know as soon as we hear something new on this. Stay tuned in the meantime…
