LG has started rolling out Jelly Bean update for its Optimus L9 smartphone, which is still the best device in the company’s L-series line-up. The new software should now be available in the Baltic region, Germany, Spain, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and for the European Open devices.
As you would imagine, the 575MB-heavy download packs all of the Jelly Bean goodies such as Project Butter enhancements, improved push notifications and Google Now. In addition, there are some of LG’s own tweaks and fixes that should make for an overall improved experience.
Finally, if your L9 still hasn’t informed you about this latest firmware, you are free to manually check for it through “Settings” -> “About phone.” Hopefully, by the time you’ve done reading this, you’ll have the whole new Android 4.1 running on your LG smartphone.
