With T-Mobile set to launch its LTE network at the end of March, it would only be fitting to prep devices for some LTE goodness.Galaxy Note II users will soon be receiving an over the air update that will enable LTE support for the popular phablet device.
The 9MB update (T889UVBMB4) will enable LTE support on T-Mobile’s network, and also includes ‘various device improvements’.
Prerequisites for the update include:
- T889UVALL4 software version
- Device software is not rooted
- 50% battery life
Pretty standard stuff here. If you’re currently on T889UVALK8 or T889UVALJ1, you’ll first need to update to T889UVALL4 before you’ll be able to get the latest, LTE-enabling update. After that, you can install said the latest update from either Samsung Kies or wait for the OTA update.T-Mobile may be a little late to the LTE game, but we’re sure that Galaxy Note II users are more than a little excited.
