Remember the Droid 4? It launched last year with Android 2.3 and was updated to Ice Cream Sandwich. Now another bump up in the Android OS software for the phone is coming down the pike. The update wil bring the phone to Android 4.0 Jelly Bean and is detailed on Verizon Wireless’ support website.

Droid 4 owners will be able to look forward to features like Voice Search and a new responsive UI thanks to Project Butter. The Android 4.1 update will roll out starting today, March 19th. Like most Verizon releases, the Jelly Bean update will hit handsets in waves. A few lucky owners will get the new software today, while most will have to wait a week or so.
