Rumor: Is This The Motorola X Phone? New Renders Surface

Motorola X smartphone and tablet coming next year?

Oh the Motorola X, the smartphone that will change everything. Supposedly. We’ve heard many rumors about this yet undisclosed piece of hardware, some believable and some just plain weird. Whatever you think of the rumors, there is one thing for certain; people are super excited about this “superphone”. A new render comes to us today via GSMArena, which shows the Motorola X phone as a sleek, clean device, the stuff of Android fanboy dreams.

Rumors are suggesting that the Motorola X phone will be sporting a 4.7-inch display at 1280 x 720, a Snapdragon 800 processor, a gargantuan 4000 mAh battery, and will run on Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. It is expected to have Gorilla Glass and IP57 certification, making this not only a powerhouse of a phone but one that can stand up to the elements as well.

Time will tell what Motorola has in store for us, so check back for updates. What do you think of the renders? Could a handset that sleek-looking possibly house a 4000 mAh battery? Check the photo below.

  • That 4000 mAh battery is what really caught my eye!

Why not? I have a razr maxx which has a 3000 mAh battery and, to me, a 4000 mAh battery on a phone doesn’t sound farfetched. I’m just hoping it’ll have an unlocked bootloader.

I would love to have such a phone 🙂

  • The lock screen looks like the one from Gingerbread.

Please don’t screw us consumers over and not provide a Micro SD slot! Non-removable battery, OK sure… with a large battery installed already that’s reasonable. If Google wont give us a Micro SD slot and continue to shove cloud storage down our throats at least provide larger internal memory. At LEAST 16GB but up to 64GB.

Android games these days can take up a lot of memory.
