Zinio will be giving Nokia’s Lumia handsets some love by bringing its digital magazine catalog exclusively to the Windows Phone 8 handsets. The app is currently available for Windows 8 tablets, desktops and notebooks, with the Windows Phone 8 app coming soon. The application has also been available for iOS and Android for some time now. Zinio offers titles in over fifty languages, from publishers such as Hearst, Conde Nast, IPC, Future, Wenner Media, as well as some other brands.
Zinio’s foray onto Nokia Lumia handsets will offer functionality already known to the app, such as seamless reading, cross-platform access and the ability to purchase content, as well as some new features. The Windows Phone 8 app will offer features such as live tile support, bookmarks, pinning and a text mode that makes reading magazines on smaller screens easier. The app also features a Reading List, which offers a stream of select magazine articles, as well as easy access to the user’s library. Background downloading is also supported, which updates the Reading List by fetching new content while the user is connected to Wi-Fi.
The app is slated to launch soon, so Nokia Lumia owners keep you’re eyes peeled!
