Sony has confirmed that the Xperia Tablet Z will indeed be facing shipping delays in the U.K. by pushing back shipping dates on its website. The tablet, which was unveiled at MWC this year, was originally slated to ship in April, and now has been postponed until late May at the soonest. The only country so far to get the Xperia Tablet Z is Japan, who saw the device hit stores on March 22nd. Delays for the U.K. most likely mean that a U.S. and European release will be delayed as well.
The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a sleek, snappy device, which sports a 10-inch 1080p full HD screen, runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. It will come in two variants, one with Wi-Fi only, and the other with 4G LTE support.
We’ll have to wait and see when this beautiful piece of technology actually rolls out, so check back with us for more updates on its availability.
